Welcome to www.MyTrainingProvider.com
My name is Nelson Kok and this is my personal website. I am a Malaysian, an Entrepreneur and a Freelance Trainer by profession. I am based in Penang, Malaysia. I have more than 22 years of working experience with both multinational and local manufacturing companies. I have been doing freelance corporate trainings since 1994. As an independent consultant and freelance corporate trainer, I work freely with training providers and organizations that require my services as a trainer or a consultant on a project (or contract) basis. My mission is to help organizations to achieve higher quality and productivity using proven Management, Quality, Engineering & IT tools and techniques. I find that very often I am asked by consultant companies or customers to provide detailed information of my training courses, either for them to propose to their top management for decision making or for HRDF submissions. This had prompted me to create this website so that these information can be readily available to everyone at all times. Through years of training experience, I have improvised and enhanced many traditional courses for my customers by using the latest IT tools and techniques. For example, traditional way of teaching management science courses (such as Data Analysis, Forecasting, Managerial Statistics, Statistical Quality Control Methods (SPC), Quality Control (QC) Tools, Managerial Decision & Business Modeling, etc) can be very boring as it involved tedious calculations, remembering formulas, searching statistical tables and spending hours on manual charting/graphing activities. All these boring and non-value added activities got the learners disinterested half-way through the course even before they can begin to appreciate what the data are revealing to them about their businesses, current processes, or alternative decisions that they can take.

In order to improve the training delivery and get the learners to grasp the subject matter fast and in an interesting manner, I incorporate the use of Microsoft® Excel spreadsheet program and real business case studies into my training courses to help learners accelerate their learning curves. Many essential and relevant MBA-related subjects can be taught differently using this method. The key here is to apply best-known methods by making good use of today’s IT tools to make those important business decisions more accurately, faster, easier and more presentable.
