Through years of training experience, I
have improvised and enhanced many traditional courses
for my customers by using the latest IT tools and
techniques. For example, traditional way of
teaching management science courses (such as Data
Analysis, Forecasting, Managerial Statistics, Statistical
Quality Control Methods (SPC), Quality Control (QC)
Tools, Managerial Decision & Business Modeling,
etc) can be very boring as it involved tedious
calculations, remembering formulas, searching statistical
tables and spending hours on manual charting/graphing
activities. All these boring and non-value added activities
got the learners disinterested half-way through the
course even before they can begin to appreciate what
the data are revealing to them about their businesses,
current processes, or alternative decisions that they
can take.
In order to improve the training delivery and get
the learners to grasp the subject matter fast and
in an interesting manner, I incorporate the use of
Microsoft® Excel spreadsheet
program and real business case
studies into my training courses to help learners
accelerate their learning curves. Many essential and
relevant MBA-related subjects can be taught differently
using this method. The key here is to apply
best-known methods by making good use of today’s
IT tools to make those
important business decisions more accurately, faster,
easier and more presentable.
